There is no off season. On the schedule we track, a ship leaves Bayonne in every month from 8 November 2026 to 18 June 2028, but the ships change with the seasons. Winter means Odyssey of the Seas to the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Which ships sail from Cape Liberty in each season?

Odyssey of the Seas in winter and four other ships in summer, with one luxury voyage in September 2027. Most sailings leave on a Sunday. Independence of the Seas is the exception, leaving mostly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The schedule lists 85 departures in 2027, from 3 January 2027 to 26 December 2027. It is the busiest year on the schedule: Odyssey of the Seas from January to April and again from November, and Oasis of the Seas, Independence of the Seas, Celebrity Silhouette and Silver Shadow in between.

The year starts with three long Caribbean voyages on Odyssey in January, 11 and 12 nights each with three sea days at each end. From February to April she sails Bahamas trips, most of them 7 nights, then leaves on 25 April 2027 for a 14-night crossing by way of the Azores, Malaga, Cartagena, Barcelona and La Spezia, ending at Civitavecchia. Summer is when the choice widens. Oasis of the Seas sails 7-night trips to Nassau and Perfect Day at CocoCay. Independence of the Seas runs the short trips, 4 nights to Halifax and 5 nights to Bermuda, along with 8 and 9-night trips to Bermuda and the Eastern Caribbean, then 9-night Canada and New England trips in September and October. Celebrity Silhouette sails 7-night Bermuda trips with three days at the Royal Naval Dockyard, then a 13-night voyage on 20 June to Greenland and Iceland that ends in Reykjavik.

What cruises leave Bayonne, NJ in 2028?

So far, winter on Odyssey of the Seas and spring on Celebrity Summit. The schedule lists 21 departures in 2028, from 2 January 2028 to 18 June 2028.

Odyssey repeats her winter pattern: Caribbean voyages in January, Bahamas trips from February, and a 14-night crossing to Civitavecchia on 9 April 2028. Celebrity Summit then sails 7-night Bermuda trips on Sundays from 30 April, and a 13-night voyage to Iceland, Greenland and Nova Scotia on 18 June 2028 that ends in Reykjavik.

The last Royal Caribbean departure on the schedule is 9 April 2028. When we checked, the schedule we track had no Royal Caribbean sailing from Bayonne after that date, and we add sailings only once they appear in our sources. The 2028 schedule will show any that do.

Which months have the fewest cruises from Bayonne?

January, and the weeks when one season's ships hand over to the next. January has 3 departures in 2027 and 3 in 2028, because Odyssey's Caribbean voyages last 11 or 12 nights, so she leaves every 11 or 12 days rather than every week.

The handovers leave short gaps. When we wrote this, nothing left between Odyssey's crossing on 25 April 2027 and Celebrity Silhouette's first sailing on 2 May 2027, or between Oasis's one-way voyage on 31 October 2027 and Odyssey's return on 14 November 2027. November 2027 has 3 departures as a result.

June is the fullest month of 2027, with 13 departures, because three ships sail from Bayonne that month and Independence's short trips leave every few days.

Are there Christmas and New Year cruises from Bayonne?

Yes, on Odyssey of the Seas, in both 2026 and 2027. Royal Caribbean names the Christmas and New Year trips "Holiday" sailings, and they follow the usual Bahamas route: a sea day, then Port Canaveral, Perfect Day at CocoCay and Nassau, then two sea days home.

The holiday weeks cost more. On 4 November 2026 the December 2027 departures ranged from $1,051 to $2,023 per person. When we wrote this, the two holiday sailings cost the most that month, and the 27 December 2026 sailing had the highest fare of any 7-night trip on the schedule. The holiday cruises page lists every sailing over Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year.

Two summer holidays fall on Independence's short trips. Memorial Day is 31 May 2027, during the 5-night Bermuda trip that leaves on Thursday 27 May. The 5-night trip that leaves on Saturday 3 July is at sea on 4 July.

Do cruises from Bayonne sail in hurricane season?

Yes, from June to November. The National Hurricane Center gives the Atlantic hurricane season as 1 June to 30 November, with a peak on 10 September and most activity between mid-August and mid-October. From Bayonne that covers Oasis's and Independence's sailings from June to October, the June sailings of Celebrity Silhouette and Celebrity Summit, Silver Shadow's September voyage and Odyssey's November sailings.

The December to May sailings fall outside the official season, though the Hurricane Center adds that storms sometimes form before or after its dates. On its 1991 to 2020 figures, an average Atlantic season has 14 named storms, 7 hurricanes and 3 major hurricanes.

Royal Caribbean's FAQ says it tries to avoid operating any ship near a tropical system and may alter an itinerary to keep clear of a storm. Its FAQ on itinerary changes says it may change or skip a port for weather and is not required to refund any part of the fare when it does. So a late-summer trip may not call at every port it lists. Read the line's terms before you book one.

What is the weather like for a winter cruise from Bayonne?

Cold at the port. The National Weather Service's New York office, using NOAA's 1991 to 2020 normals, gives Newark, New Jersey, an average January high of 40°F and low of 25.5°F, with 9.1 inches of snow in an average January and 10.1 inches in February.

Which month is cheapest for a cruise from Bayonne?

It depends on the ship more than the month. When we wrote this on 4 November 2026, the lowest 7-night fares on the schedule were Oasis of the Seas sailings in May and October 2027, and the two highest were Odyssey's New Year sailings.

On 4 November 2026 the lowest 7-night fare was $786 on Oasis of the Seas, $859 on Odyssey of the Seas, $968 on Celebrity Silhouette and $1,049 on Celebrity Summit, per person, two sharing, with taxes and fees included.

Two patterns stood out when we checked:

• Every Oasis sailing in July and August cost more than every one in May and October.
• Independence's 5-night Bermuda trips were cheapest in September and October.
