Every Bermuda cruise on this schedule leaves Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, New Jersey, sails to the Royal Naval Dockyard at the west end of the island, and comes back to Bayonne. There are two kinds. Independence of the Seas sails 5-night trips for Royal Caribbean with one night docked in Bermuda. Celebrity Silhouette in 2027 and Celebrity Summit in 2028 sail 7-night trips with two.

On 4 November 2026 Bermuda fares from Bayonne ran from $657 to $1,501 per person, for the cheapest cabin listed, with taxes and port fees included. The table at the end of this guide lists every sailing, and the Bermuda destination page has the same list with a page for each one.

How long are Bermuda cruises from Bayonne, NJ?

Five nights on Royal Caribbean or seven on Celebrity. The extra two nights on Celebrity buy one more day at sea on the way out and one more night in Bermuda.

These times come from the itineraries on sale, and every sailing of each kind shares them.

The Celebrity itineraries also list a pass of the Statue of Liberty from 4:45pm to 5:30pm on the first evening, on the way out of New York Harbor. The Royal Caribbean ones do not list it.

How much time do you get in Bermuda on a cruise from Bayonne?

About 32 hours on the 5-night trips and about 55 hours on the 7-night trips, by our arithmetic from the arrival and departure times in the table above. On both, the ship stays docked overnight, so you can come back aboard in the evening and go out again the next morning. Celebrity's port guide for the Dockyard tells its guests they will dock overnight.

Royal Caribbean says the all-aboard time is generally about 30 minutes before sailing, and that the ship will not wait for guests touring on their own. Count back from that time, not from the departure time, when you plan the last ferry.

Which days of the week do Bermuda cruises leave Bayonne?

Celebrity's trips run Sunday to Sunday. Royal Caribbean's 5-night trips mostly leave on a Saturday, with a few on a Thursday, and the day you leave decides which days you spend in Bermuda.

You leave BayonneIn BermudaBack in Bayonne
Saturday, 5 nightsMonday 9am to Tuesday 5pmThursday 7am
Thursday, 5 nightsSaturday 9am to Sunday 5pmTuesday 7am
Sunday, 7 nights on CelebrityWednesday morning to Friday afternoonSunday 7am

For time off work, a Saturday 5-night trip uses Monday to Wednesday plus the morning you come back. A Thursday trip uses Thursday and Friday, then Monday and the Tuesday morning you return. The Celebrity week takes all five weekdays.

The days matter in Bermuda because the ferries run fewer boats at weekends, and the ferry to St. George's did not run on Sundays on the 2026 timetable. The sections below give the times.

When do Bermuda cruises sail from Bayonne?

From spring to fall. Celebrity Silhouette's 7-night trips run from 2 May 2027 to 13 June 2027, and Independence of the Seas takes over with 5-night trips from 27 May 2027 to 23 October 2027. In 2028 Celebrity Summit sails 7-night trips from 30 April 2028 to 11 June 2028.

Nothing on this schedule sails from Bayonne to Bermuda in the winter months. Our Bayonne cruise season guide shows what leaves in each month, and the month pages, such as June 2027, list the sailings.

NOAA's National Hurricane Center gives the Atlantic hurricane season as 1 June to 30 November, with the peak on 10 September and most activity between mid-August and mid-October. Trips that leave in May sail before the season starts, and those from June on are inside it. The 5-night trips from mid-August to mid-October fall in the stretch the center calls the most active.

What is the difference between the Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Bermuda cruises from Bayonne?

Mainly length and the days you spend on the island. Celebrity's week adds a day at sea and a second night docked, and it puts you in Bermuda on weekdays, when the ferries run more often. On the 5-night trip you get two full days at sea and two in Bermuda; on the 7-night trip, three of each.

On 4 November 2026 the lowest fare per night was $131 on Independence of the Seas, $138 on Celebrity Silhouette and $150 on Celebrity Summit, for the cheapest cabin listed with taxes and port fees included.

The Celebrity weeks also put the ship in Bermuda on a Wednesday night. In 2026 the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce ran Harbour Nights on Front Street in Hamilton every Wednesday evening from 13 May to 16 September, and the ferry timetable added late Blue Route boats on those Wednesdays. The 2027 and 2028 dates were not published when we checked.

Our Royal Caribbean and Celebrity guide compares the two lines from Bayonne, and the Royal Caribbean and Celebrity pages list each line's sailings.

Where does the cruise ship dock in Bermuda?

At the Royal Naval Dockyard, at the west end of the island, on every Bermuda sailing on this schedule. The Bermuda Tourism Authority names the Dockyard's two cruise berths as King's Wharf and Heritage Wharf, and calls them a popular choice for large cruise ships.

Celebrity's port guide lists taxis, scooter and bicycle rental, a free shuttle "train", the ferry docks and visitor information right off the ship, with bars, shops and restaurants. It puts the Maritime Museum, a glass-blowing studio, mini golf and a snorkeling beach within walking distance.

Hamilton, the capital, is a ferry or bus ride away, and St. George's, at the east end, a longer one. The government's zone table counts the Dockyard as a 14-zone bus ride, the same band as St. George's and the airport.

How do you get from Dockyard to Hamilton on a Bermuda cruise?

By the Blue Route ferry or by bus. The Bermuda Tourism Authority gives the Blue Route as 15 to 20 minutes; on the 2026 timetable the boats took 20 to 30 minutes from Dockyard to Hamilton. Bus routes 7 and 8 take about an hour.

The government lists route 7 by the South Shore beaches, the lighthouse and Somerset, and route 8 by Middle Road, Waterlot Inn and the Clock Tower Mall. On the bus timetable effective 19 September 2025, route 7 averaged 37 minutes from Dockyard to Horseshoe Bay and 62 minutes to Hamilton, and ran about every 30 minutes for most of the day.

These were the Blue Route boats on the summer ferry timetable effective 6 April 2026. The 2027 and 2028 timetables were not out when we checked on 4 November 2026, so read them as the pattern, not a promise.

A boat from Hamilton reaches Dockyard by the time in its "Leave Dockyard" column, which is what counts on the day the ship sails. Independence of the Seas sails at 5pm, so on a Tuesday the 3pm from Hamilton is the last useful boat, and on a Sunday the 2:45pm. Celebrity Silhouette sails at 4pm and Celebrity Summit at 3pm on a Friday, which makes the 1pm from Hamilton the last one that leaves any margin.

Can you get to St. George's from the cruise ship?

Yes, on most days in summer, by the Orange Route ferry, which the Bermuda Tourism Authority describes as seasonal from May to October, with a total travel time of 45 minutes. On the summer 2026 timetable it did not run on Sundays.

These were the Orange Route boats on the summer timetable effective 6 April 2026.

Tuesday and Friday9:30am, 11:30am, 3:00pm10:30am, 2:00pm, 4:00pm

The best day depends on the sailing. On a Saturday 5-night trip, the Monday has the full timetable and the ship is still in port for the evening. On a Thursday trip, the Saturday works and the Sunday has no boat. On Celebrity, the Wednesday and Thursday both have four boats each way. On a day the ship sails, the 2pm from St. George's reaches Dockyard at about 2:45pm by the authority's 45 minutes. That works for Independence's 5pm and Silhouette's 4pm departures but not for Summit's 3pm.

Without the ferry, take bus route 7 or 8 to Hamilton and then route 1, 3, 10 or 11 to St. George's. The government says a transfer between bus routes is free if you take the next scheduled trip on the connecting route, and that ferries accept transfers only for journeys from Hamilton to St. George's via Dockyard.

How much do Bermuda's buses and ferries cost?

On the Government of Bermuda's fares page, read on 4 November 2026, an adult bus ride of more than three zones cost $5.00 cash, and the 2026 ferry timetable charged the same for the Blue and Orange Routes. A pass for unlimited buses and ferries cost $19.00 for one day, $31.50 for two and $44.00 for three.

FareAdultChild
Cash, up to 3 zones$3.50$2.75
Cash, longer bus rides and the Blue or Orange Route ferry$5.00$2.75
Pass, 1 day$19.00$9.50
Pass, 2 days$31.50$16.00
Pass, 3 days$44.00$22.00

Children under 5 ride free. The fares page gives the child fare's ages as 5 to 15 in its text and 5 to 16 in its table; the 2026 ferry timetable says 5 to 15. Cash takes exact change in coins only: the government says dollar bills are not accepted and drivers do not make change.

Passes cover consecutive days, so a 2-day pass fits the two days of a 5-night trip and a 3-day pass the three days of a Celebrity week. The Visitor Information Centre at Dockyard sells tokens and passes. A ferry to Hamilton and back in cash comes to $10.00 by our arithmetic, so the 1-day pass pays for itself on the fourth ride.

Which other cruises from Bayonne stop in Bermuda?

A few Royal Caribbean trips on Independence of the Seas stop at the Dockyard on the way to or from the Caribbean. We file them under the Caribbean, because that is where most of their stops are, so they are not in the table on this page. Counting them, 34 sailings from Bayonne call at the Dockyard.

The 9-night trips spend eight hours at the Dockyard on their third day, without a night in port. Cruisebound still listed Labadee in Haiti on the July and August ones on 4 November 2026, but on 2 November 2026 Royal Caribbean said it had suspended all Labadee visits fleetwide through April 2028 and would tell guests about itinerary changes before they sail. We have left Labadee off those two sailings until the line names the new stop. Our Caribbean and Bahamas guide covers these trips.

Do you need a passport for a Bermuda cruise from Bayonne?

Not for the round trips, if you are a U.S. citizen, but a passport is the safer document. U.S. Customs and Border Protection says U.S. citizens on a closed-loop cruise, one that starts and ends at the same U.S. port and stays in the Western Hemisphere, may come back with a government-issued photo ID and proof of citizenship.

Royal Caribbean's passport guide, published on 9 October 2026, lists Bermuda as a closed-loop destination that does not need a passport and names round trips from Cape Liberty and Baltimore as examples. It still recommends one. CBP says U.S. citizens need a passport to enter the United States by air from Bermuda, which matters if you ever have to leave the ship there and fly home, and that the passport card is not accepted for international air travel.

The one-way trip to Miami is different. Royal Caribbean says passport books are required for one-way and repositioning cruises. Our cruise documents guide has the rest.

How much is a Bermuda cruise from Bayonne?

On 4 November 2026 the lowest starting fare was $657 per person and the highest $1,501, for the cheapest cabin listed with taxes and port fees included. The lowest worked out at $131 a night. Fares move often, so check the sailing you want before you plan around a number.

The fare does not cover getting to Bayonne. Our guides to Cape Liberty Cruise Port, parking at Cape Liberty, Newark airport to the port and getting there from New York City cover that part. For the lowest fares on every route, see cheap cruises from Bayonne, and for the 5-night trips beside the other short sailings, see the 5-night cruises page and our short cruises guide.
