Which cruise lines sail from Bayonne, NJ?

What Royal Caribbean ships sail from Bayonne?

Three: Odyssey of the Seas in winter, and Oasis of the Seas and Independence of the Seas in summer. They are very different sizes. Royal Caribbean's own fact sheets give Oasis 5,602 guests at double occupancy, Odyssey 4,198 and Independence 3,858.

Oasis of the Seas20095,602May to October 202726$768
Independence of the Seas20083,858May to October 202728$504

Maiden voyages and guest numbers are from Royal Caribbean's fast facts sheets for each ship, read on 4 November 2026. Oasis of the Seas' page says she "debuted in 2008", but her fact sheet gives a maiden voyage of 5 December 2009, and we use the fact sheet. What each ship has on board, from Royal Caribbean's own ship pages read on 4 November 2026:

  • Odyssey of the Seas. Royal Caribbean calls her a Quantum Ultra Class ship. Her page lists the North Star, simulated skydiving on RipCord by iFLY, a FlowRider surf simulator, bumper cars and laser tag in what it calls the largest SeaPlex ever, three pools and 16 dining options.
  • Oasis of the Seas. An Oasis Class ship with 18 decks, built around neighborhoods that include Central Park, the Boardwalk and the Royal Promenade. Her page lists the Ultimate Abyss slide, The Perfect Storm waterslides, a zip line nine decks above the Boardwalk, a 40-foot FlowRider, an ice rink and diving shows in the AquaTheater.
  • Independence of the Seas. One of Royal Caribbean's Amplified ships. Her page lists a FlowRider, The Perfect Storm waterslides, a rock climbing wall, Battle for Planet Z laser tag, Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, four pools and 13 dining options.

All three have a FlowRider, and Oasis and Independence also list The Perfect Storm waterslides. Oasis is the biggest, and Independence, the smallest of the three, is the one that runs the short trips.

Where does Royal Caribbean sail from Bayonne?

Mostly to the Bahamas, with Perfect Day at CocoCay on every Bahamas trip. Odyssey and Oasis both sail 7-night Bahamas trips, Independence covers Bermuda, Halifax and the Eastern Caribbean, and Odyssey's January voyages go deeper into the Caribbean.

ShipRoutes from Bayonne
Odyssey of the Seas7 and 8-night trips to Port Canaveral, Perfect Day at CocoCay and Nassau. 11 and 12-night Caribbean voyages in January. A 14-night crossing to Civitavecchia in April
Oasis of the Seas7-night trips to Nassau and Perfect Day at CocoCay. One 9-night trip adding Puerto Plata, in June 2027. One 9-night trip one way to Fort Lauderdale by way of Aruba and Curaçao, on 31 October 2027

Perfect Day at CocoCay is Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas, and the schedule lists 60 sailings that call there, every one of them Royal Caribbean. The Caribbean and Bahamas guide compares those trips, and the Royal Caribbean page lists every sailing by ship.

What Celebrity ships sail from Bayonne?

Celebrity Silhouette in May and June 2027 and Celebrity Summit from late April to June 2028. Both are smaller than any of the Royal Caribbean ships here. Celebrity's ship pages, read on 4 November 2026, give Silhouette an occupancy of 2,902 and 122,210 tons, and Summit 2,218 and 91,003 tons.

ShipLaunchedOccupancyAt BayonneSailingsLowest fare
Celebrity Silhouette20112,902May and June 20278$968
Celebrity Summit20012,218April to June 20288$1,049

Occupancy is from Celebrity's ship pages and the launch year from the Royal Caribbean Group press center's fact sheets. Silhouette's page mentions the Lawn Club Grill, The Retreat, a reimagined Passport Bar and a new Craft Social Bar. Summit's page describes a redesign that added new staterooms and The Retreat, with its own sundeck and lounge, and lists Luminae and Tuscan Grille. Both pages say the ships have Starlink internet.

Celebrity runs two routes from Bayonne with each ship:

  • 7-night Bermuda trips. Two sea days out, three days at the Royal Naval Dockyard and one sea day home. Silhouette leaves on Sundays from 2 May to 13 June 2027 and Summit on Sundays from 30 April to 11 June 2028.
  • 13-night voyages to Reykjavik. One way, by way of Nova Scotia, St. John's in Newfoundland, Qaqortoq in Greenland and Isafjordur in Iceland. Silhouette leaves on 20 June 2027 and Summit on 18 June 2028.

Cruisebound's itineraries for the Bermuda trips list the Statue of Liberty as a scenic cruising stop on the first evening. The Bermuda guide covers the trips, and the Celebrity page lists every date.

Once. Silver Shadow leaves Cape Liberty on 24 September 2027 for an 11-night voyage that ends in Montreal, calling at Newport, Portland, Boston, Halifax, Charlottetown and Quebec City, with a night in Quebec City. On 4 November 2026 it started at $6,700 per person, for a suite.

Her page lists only suites, from the Vista Suite to the Owner's Suite, and her restaurants include La Dame, La Terrazza and The Grill. Silversea's All-Inclusive Fare on its Classic voyages includes wines and spirits, onboard gratuities and Wi-Fi.

She is a small ship: 392 guests, against 5,602 at double occupancy on Oasis of the Seas. The Canada and New England guide covers her route alongside Independence's fall trips.

How do Royal Caribbean and Celebrity fares compare from Bayonne?

Royal Caribbean starts lower, on the short trips and on a full week. On 4 November 2026 the lowest Royal Caribbean fare from Bayonne was $504 and the lowest Celebrity fare $968. For a week, the lowest 7-night fares were $786 on Royal Caribbean and $968 on Celebrity.

Bermuda is the fairest comparison, because both lines sail round trips there from Bayonne. These were the lowest fares on 4 November 2026, per person, two sharing, taxes and fees included:

Bermuda tripShipTime docked at the DockyardLowest fare
5 nightsIndependence of the SeasAbout 32 hours, one night$657
7 nightsCelebrity SilhouetteAbout 55 hours, two nights$968
7 nightsCelebrity SummitAbout 55 hours, two nights$1,049

The hours are our arithmetic from Cruisebound's itineraries for 27 May 2027, 2 May 2027 and 30 April 2028. Independence's 9-night Bermuda and Eastern Caribbean trips stop much more briefly: on the 10 June 2027 itinerary she is at the Dockyard from 8am to 4pm.

What the fare covers differs too. Celebrity's FAQ describes an All Included price that adds Basic Wi-Fi and a Classic Drink Package, and our listed fare does not say whether a Celebrity fare includes it. The daily gratuities were $18.50 per guest on Royal Caribbean outside suites and $19.50 on Celebrity in Inside, Oceanview and Veranda staterooms, from each line's FAQ on 4 November 2026. The cheap and last-minute guide covers the extras in full.

Which cruise line should you choose from Bayonne?

Your dates and your destination usually decide it before the ship does, because the lines barely overlap here.

  • Winter, November to April. Royal Caribbean only, on Odyssey of the Seas.
  • Fewer than seven nights. Royal Caribbean only, on Independence of the Seas.
  • The Bahamas and Perfect Day at CocoCay. Royal Caribbean only, on Odyssey or Oasis.
  • The most time in Bermuda. Celebrity's 7-night trips, which stay about a day longer than Independence's 5-night ones.
  • Greenland and Iceland. Celebrity only, one voyage a year, one way to Reykjavik.
  • Drinks, Wi-Fi and gratuities in one fare. Silversea's one voyage, or Celebrity with All Included pricing, which covers drinks and Wi-Fi but not staff gratuities.

If you are traveling with children, all three Royal Caribbean ships have a FlowRider surf simulator, and Oasis and Independence add The Perfect Storm waterslides. If you want a smaller ship to Bermuda, Celebrity's two are the smaller ones here. The cruise season guide shows which ship is in port in each month.
